Nobel Biocare, the world leader in providing innovative esthetic dental solutions came to c3ms with the goal of increasing brand awareness and product knowledge among patients requiring restorative or electing cosmetic dental procedures across North America.
Client Needs
C3MS discovered that Nobel Biocare controls 40% of this $3 billion worldwide market; yet consumers are largely unaware of the brand, and most did not know a choice of products was available to them when having restorative or cosmetic procedures. We also learned that incredible technological advances have been made in oral healthcare that greatly improve both function and esthetics and at the same time reduce inlargely unaware of what is possible today. Additionally we found that doctors and clinicians require continuing education to keep up with advances in technology and procedures. In addition to patient products and services, Nobel also has a program named Practice Perks that offers practice building products and services for doctors.
Client Challenge
The demand for dental implants, and all ceramic crowns and laminates is largely driven by doctors and lab personnel; in fact, in many cases, the patient is unaware that they have a choice when it comes to the critical restorative dental components used in these typically elective procedures. The challenge facing Nobel Biocare was finding a way to get critical information about the advancements in restorative dental procedures and materials directly to a highly_targeted segment of consumers.

With over 160,000 practicing dentists in the US, Nobel Biocare will focus on partnering with their dentists in bringing this innovative patient education/entertainment system to over 1,200 dental reception rooms by the end of 2010 and expanding globally thereafter.
Client Solution: Nobel VisionTM Network
Nobel Biocare, turned to c3ms for development of the NobelVisionTM Network; everything from Integration, logistics, and installation, to content creation, network management, and content delivery to the large_screen monitors.
“NobelVisionTM is a major step in the transition from 1st Generation to 2nd Generation networks in which the true potential of digital signage is realized,” reports Max Engel, strategic analyst, for Frost & Sullivan's telecom practice. “RDM, c3ms, and Nobel Biocare have created the first truly 21st century, multi_functional network, that will perform advertising, marketing, entertainment and educational functions as a seamless whole,” Engel concludes.
“Digital signage networks give healthcare providers a way to educate their patients on both new and existing procedures and treatment options, as well as provide manufacturers with a new avenue to reach their valued customers. This can help generate additional revenue for both the practice and suppliers,” says Ray Heiser, Managing Partner of c3ms. “We provide all facets of the project and tailor the content for each type of practitioner. For patients, it’s a real improvement over the typical reception waiting room experience with outdated magazines and piped_in music. Digital signage networks capture attention, communicate information clearly, and ultimately spur the patient to take action.”
Advertisers can participate by purchasing spots on the network, or through a sponsorship package. With dwell times typically exceeding 30 minutes, advertisers benefit by reaching a captive target audience through a dynamic highly targeted medium that uses full_motion, full_color video content is changed or updated daily by location. Additionally, the network will support a number of direct consumer response abilities for advertisers to utilize _ including touch screen applications and SMS text messaging.
The NobelVisionTM Network is operated and managed through a collaborative effort between c3ms and Real Digital Media. c3ms is responsible for implementing the network, as well as managing the distribution of content across the network. RDM is responsible for providing the digital signage network software and hardware.
